    Job description:

    • Maintain safety procedures at all times.
    • Feeds and oversees the Centerless Grinding machine, starts machine and monitors machines operations.
    • Starts machine and adjust controls to regulate speed and temperature to required specifications.
    • Record production information in computerized or manual system packets.
    • Performs daily safety and mechanical checks of machine employee is working on to ensure machine is safe and running properly.

    Qualifications:

    • 2-3 years Centerless Grinding Machine Operation experience, required.
    • Able to work well within a team environment.
    • Able to work overtime when needed.
    • Basic knowledge, able to operate a Windows base personal computer
    • Self-directed – able to work efficiently with little direct instruction

    Physical Requirements:

    Job Description-Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    The Tri Star Metals Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be expected to perform maintenance on plant manufacturing equipment and electrical systems. They will also be responsible for design and installation of equipment retrofits. This individual will often work autonomously with little supervision but will also need to work within the framework of a team environment. They will also be responsible for training plant Maintenance Technicians in electrical troubleshooting and repair. the electrical troubleshooting and repair. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will report directly to the Director of Engineering and Maintenance. This is primarily a first shift position but will be expected to be on call for plant breakdowns.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform Scheduled Maintenance
    • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
    • Repair equipment and plant electrical systems
    • Test electronics
    • Design equipment upgrades
    • Build machine control panels

    Skills and Qualification:

    • Ability to program AC and DC drives
    • Ability to program PLC’s experience with Siemens PLC’s preferred
    • Ability operate a wide range of electrical test equipment to include:
    • Multimeters, power monitors, infrared imaging tools, etc.
    • Ability to use AutoCad
    • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
    • At least 5-years experience as an Industrial Electrical Engineer, Preferred

    Oversee quality inspection area on a daily basis with respect to equipment use and maintenance, house-keeping, supplies and organization.

    Execute final inspection of finished goods and in-process goods when required according to the company standards and fully documenting inspection results.

    Prepare samples for investigation at the direction of supervision.

    Quarantining all non-conforming material both through physical tagging of material and documenting the non-conformance within the appropriate hold system(s).

    Accurately and completely fill out quality records and reports.

    Purpose

    The Lead Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the planning and preparation of projects/major repairs, orient and train new and current maintenance personnel, review the work of maintenance employees, and assist technicians as necessary.  Additionally, this position will perform highly diversified tasks to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a safe and efficient manner to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives.

     

    Qualifications

    1. High school diploma, technical college preferred.
    2. 2 years Lead Maintenance Tech Experience.
    3. Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
    4. 6+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience. Advanced electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fabrication and industrial skills.
    5. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
    6. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with team members.
    7. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
    8. Able to perform under deadlines.
    9. Able to work a flexible schedule, at times.

    17. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations immediately to the supervisor.

    • Inserts wire into machine, feeds mechanism, starts machine and monitors machines operations.

    • Loads spool of wire on spindle and threads wire through machine and around take-up reel.
    • Starts machine and adjust controls to regulate speed and temperature to required specifications.
    • Record production information in computerized or manual system packets.
    • Performs daily safety and mechanical checks of machine employee is working on to ensure machine is safe and running properly.
