Tri Star Metals Launches New Website to Complement Business Expansion

An Ever Growing Number of Employees, Facilities, and Products Warrants a Fresh Online Presence

FREEPORT, IL (March 25, 2020) —  The Tri Star Metals home page jumps to life, showing a dynamic video of employees hard at work at the company’s state-of-the-art metal manufacturing and distribution facility. This video is more than just a catchy website feature; it highlights the company’s rapid expansion.

The new Tri Star Metals website serves as a resource for customers, highlighting not only the company’s products, markets served, and ISO9001 and AS9100 certification, but safety data sheets, metal conversion calculators, and metal stock rates as well.

In addition to expanding their online presence, the new site represents the moves the company has been making internally to expand business operations.

Since their inception in 1985, the company has demonstrated consistent growth. Since acquiring a manufacturing facility in 2010, sales have more than quadrupled to revenues exceeding $100 million dollars per year. According to Jay Mandel, CEO and President, “It is a point of pride for our team that in the last 10 years, we have invested over $30 million dollars and added over 120 jobs at our Freeport Mill to help support US manufacturing and the community of Freeport, IL.” A 100K square foot addition at their Freeport, IL facility has enabled the company to consolidate established production facilities and bar distribution that used to take place out of Carol Stream, IL. This consolidation will improve shipment flow, as bar or wire orders coming off Freeport production lines can now ship with bar that they carry in stock.

While some companies struggle under the pressure of growth, Tri Star Metals has grown to become a major player in the industry, while keeping their small minimums, optimal prices, and quick lead times. “Despite being a major raw material manufacturer, we have always maintained a distribution mentality,” said Seth Fischer, the company’s VP of Sales and Aerospace Products. “Unlike most mills, we commit heavily to inventory. We love partnering on Vendor Managed Inventory programs to enable same day shipments and support unanticipated demand fluctuations.”

With a new website to complement their expanding industry presence, Tri Star Metals is equipped to continue their success into the future.
